Velvet Rose 2025: Lifted aromas of strawberries & cream, rose petal and Turkish delight, with an abundance of luscious red berry flavours, finishing with a delightful lingering sweetness best describes Velvet Rose 2025. Woody Nook Wines' most popular rosé, this shiraz dominant field blend is a 'drink now' style, best served chilled.. Woody Nook Wines is one of the first Australian wineries to have used temperature sensitive ink in the printing of a label.
Winemaker's notes
Woody Nook Wines Velvet Rose 2025 was made from a field blend of varieties (shiraz, merlot, tempranillo), all suited to this style and region. The ferment was arrested just prior to finishing by chilling, resulting in a medium sweet style containing 18 grams per litre of natural residual sugar. The beautiful colour (paler than previous years) comes from cold soaking the Merlot component on skins for 3 days at 2C.
613 cases were produced.
