WOODY NOOK WINES LOCATION

Woody Nook is a comfortable three hour drive from the southern outskirts of Perth, the state capital of Western Australia. It is situated in the Margaret River wine-growing area, but is located about fifteen kilometers (10 miles) from the town centre (see maps below).

From Perth Take the Kwinana Freeway south and continue south when it becomes the Forrest Highway. You will bypass Mandurah and Bunbury. Unless you wish to explore the town of Busselton which boasts the longest jetty in the southern hemisphere, you will bypass Busselton also as you follow the signs to Margaret River. After leaving the end of the bypass as you turn left at a roundabout at Vasse, immediately then passing the petrol station and Vasse store, continue along this road for 17 kilometers, watching out then for a tiny brown wooden church with a red roof ahead on the right which will mark Metricup Road where you will need to turn  and travel along this for just 5 kilometers, until you reach our entrance on the right. Once you have visited us, there are several other wineries to visit further along Metricup Road which then runs into Caves Road where there are many more whether you turn right and head back towards Dunsborough or left and continue down towards Margaret River. No distances are great and the network of roads that criss-cross the area mean that if you miss a vineyard, you can easily backtrack probably without having to drive the same route twice.
