Tasting Notes
Estate grown Tempranillo was hand-picked, chilled overnight, then pressed off skins to produce a delicate, vibrant, pale pink hue. Lifted rose petal, cranberry and candy floss aromas lead on to a generously flavoured palate, with just a hint of natural residual sugar.
Winemaking Notes
Woody Nook Wines Rosé 2023 was made from 5.0 tonne of hand-picked estate grown Tempranillo, harvested on 3rd March, 2023 at 11.4° baume; stored cold overnight before destemming and pressing straight off skins to create the beautiful blush pink colour.
Fermented cold in stainless steel with Cross Evolution yeast to enhance aromatics. The ferment was chilled towards the end of ferment resulting in 2.5 grams/litre natural residual sugar in the final wine, adding generosity and fruit sweetness to the mid palate. This 100% Tempranillo off-dry rosé will be sure to please!
