Winemaker's notes
Woody Nook Wines Velvet Rose 2024 was made from a field blend of varieties, all suited to this style and region. The ferment was arrested just prior to finishing by chilling, resulting in a medium sweet style containing 19gms/lt natural residual sugar. The beautiful deep colour and flavour come from the Shiraz and the Merlot components that were cold soaked on skins for 4 days at 2 C.
